Get help with your Allies account, manage your data, and find answers.

Important Information

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Before you delete your account, please understand that:

  • Your profile, preferences, and personal data will be permanently removed
  • You will immediately lose access to all shared family data
  • Your coparent will be notified that your account has been deleted
  • Messages, schedules, and expenses you created will remain accessible to your coparent as part of the shared family record

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the Allies app:

  1. Open the Allies app on your iOS or Android device
  2. Go to Profile by tapping your profile icon in the navigation
  3. Scroll to "Privacy & Security" section
  4. Tap "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm your decision by reading the consequences and tapping "Delete My Account"
  6. Enter your password to verify your identity

Your account will be deleted immediately and you will be signed out.

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to privacy@alliesapp.com
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include in your email:
    • The email address associated with your Allies account
    • Your full name as it appears in the app
    • A statement confirming you want to delete your account
  4. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days

Data That Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is removed:

Your profile information (name, email, photo) Immediately
Your account preferences and settings Immediately
Your device tokens and push notification settings Immediately
Your session data and authentication tokens Immediately
Your profile from family membership Immediately
Database backups containing your deleted data Within 90 days

Data That Is Retained

Certain data must be retained for legal compliance or because it forms part of a shared family record:

Why Some Data Remains Accessible

Allies is designed as a documented coparenting communication platform. Messages, schedules, and expense records you created are part of a shared family record that your coparent may need for their own records or legal proceedings.

Even after your account is deleted, your coparent retains access to this shared data. Your name may appear as the sender/creator, but your profile will show as "Deleted User."

Coparent Notification

When you delete your account:

  • Your coparent will receive an immediate notification that you have deleted your account
  • They will retain access to all shared messages, schedules, and expense records
  • Your name will appear as "Deleted User" in the shared record
  • Any pending invitations or access requests you created will be cancelled
